IPF continues to achieve recognition for responsible business practices with the confirmation that the Group has been included, once again, as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series, which is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. The evaluations made by FTSE Russell, a leading sustainability rating agency, are based on the assessment of activities in areas such as corporate governance, health and safety, climate change and anti-corruption efforts.
This year, IPF scored very highly against the social and governance criteria in particular, and ahead of the industry average. As a leading provider of financial products to people who are often underserved by other lenders, this acheivement supports our goal to grow the business in a sustainable, ethical and responsible way as we fulfil our purpose to build a better world through financial inclusion.
Gerard Ryan, Chief Executive Officer said: “I'm delighted that we have been acknowledged again by FTSE Russell as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. It highlights our firm commitment to financial inclusion, responsible lending and demonstrates the success of our ESG strategy.”
