International Personal Finance’s (IPF) leading consumer finance operation in Poland, Provident Polska, has won the Golden Laurel Award in the Financial Education category. The prestigious award, now in its 10th year, is dedicated to individuals, institutions and companies for activities that bring special benefits to the Polish economy.
The accolade, awarded by Super Express - the largest daily newspaper in Poland – was awarded to Provident Polks for its comprehensive financial education programmes. The initiatives form a core part of the Group’s global community programme, Invisibles, which supports underprivileged and excluded people from society. In 2023, Provident Polska has run educational activities for Ukrainian women who are one of the most ‘invisible’ groups in the financial sector in Poland. Together with the Federation of Consumers and Ukrainian Women in Poland, Provident Polska conducted financial and consumer education workshops for 200 Ukrainian women. The business was also recognised for the publication of an educational financial fairy tale ‘Money does not grow on trees’ which was developed for children and young people in partnership with the Zaczytani Foundation. The book was distributed to 14,000 educational institutions including schools, youth clubs and childcare centres.
Collecting the Golden Laurel award, Provident Polkska’s Corporate Affairs Director, Aneta Jozwicka, said: "We are delighted to be recognised again for the work we have undertaken in our communities. We are absolutely committed to financial education, particularly in support of more vulnerable members of society and helping to improve financial inclusion in a responsible way."
