Provident Polska, the Polish home credit business of International Personal Finance Plc (‘IPF’), has received the Global Green Business Award for 2021 from the social and climate foundation Dotlenieni.org.
The award is granted to companies which engage in pro-ecological activities and planted at least 1,000 trees in the previous year. Provident Polska met this requirement forty times over!
As part of a green partnership with Dotleni.org, Provident Polska assigned a proportion of revenue generated by sales for planting trees. Members of our team, together with local community groups and schools, volunteered to plant the saplings, helping to create a forest of 40,000 trees in the Wipsowo Forest area in the north east of Poland. The forest alone will produce 5,600 kg of oxygen in 24 hours, the equivalent to the demand of around 20,000 people, and will absorb 28,800 kg of CO2 every year.
