Provident Polska wins ‘Fair to Women’ award

Provident Polska, the Polish home credit business of International Personal Finance Plc (‘IPF’), has been recognised in the ‘Fair to Women’ competition organised by the Vox Feminae Foundation.

The award was presented to the Country Manager of Provident Polska, Agnieszka Kłos-Siddiqui, during the Polish Women of the 21st Century Gala recognising Provident Polska for the effort made in creating a professional, friendly and balanced workplace for women.

The "Fair to Women" competition promotes equal treatment and equal opportunities for working women in Poland. As part of an independent audit carried out by PwC, employers including Provident Polska were assessed on a wide range of aspects including leadership and employee gender balance, wage and work-life balance, policies promoting equal opportunities and gender equality, and commitment, transparency and accountability.

“We are incredibly proud to have won this award.  We are proactively creating opportunities for all our team members and to be recognised for our effort in supporting women in the workplace is fantastic.  An important part of our people strategy is supporting the work-life balance of all employees and enabling our team to develop their professional careers in conjunction with family time,” said Agnieszka Kłos-Siddiqui.

At Provident Polska, competence-led recruitment and promotion has resulted in a management board composed of an equal number of women and men, and a strong balance among senior management positions.   The business’ Strength of Women campaign, focuses on women in sales positions to help them discover their strengths, develop new competencies and encourage members of the team to aspire to and apply for leadership positions. Provident Polska is also actively involved in projects for women in business and, in particular, supports a programme focused on students from small towns being able to make a processional start to their careers.  As part of her role as Chair of the Employers of Poland organisation, Agnieszka Klos-Siddiquie also launched the Direction for Business Women platform to inspire women to develop skills and take leadership positions in business.

The Vox Feminae foundation is a non-governmental organisation promoting equal opportunities for women through greater participation of women in business, social and public life without giving up family life. IN addition to Provident Polska, DHL Parcel Polska, Flextronics International Poland, Capgemini Polska, NatWest Polska and Credit Suisse (Poland) were also recognised in the "Fair to Women" competition.
