Provident Hungary celebrates 20 years in business

Colleagues and customers of International Personal Finance’s home credit business in Hungary are celebrating its 20th year anniversary. Since serving its first customer in 2001, Provident Hungary has become the largest provider of home credit in the country, issuing millions of customers with affordable small sum loans and insurance.

During this time, Provident Hungary has also become one of largest employers in the country with more than 2,000 people working for the business, including its home credit agents who meet customers in their homes in communities across the country. It has also been awarded the Top Employer accolade three years consecutively by the Top Employers Institute.

Botond Szirmak, Country Manager of Provident Hungary and leader of the Group’s European home credit operations, said: “Reaching our 20-year anniversary as a market leader demonstrates how important our service is to our valued customers who are looking to borrow small sum, affordable loans with a responsible lender like ourselves that they are able to repay in manageable amounts.

“During the last 20 years, not only have we responsibly served millions of customers but we have made significant contributions to our local communities too through volunteering and donations to support a range of causes.   I would like to thank all my colleagues who have contributed to our success and we look forward to welcoming more customers to the business for many years to come.“
