IPF’s Polish home credit business takes cinema outdoors

Provident Polska, the Polish home credit business of International Personal Finance Plc (‘IPF’), has joined forces with leading insurance provider AXA to sponsor live cinema in three Polish holiday resorts this summer.

The 13th annual Summer Cinema Festival, which runs throughout  July and  August, will show popular movies including ‘A Star is Born’, ‘Hair’, ‘Dreamgirls’, ‘The Little Prince’ and ‘Shrek’ in open-air cinemas in Sopot, Zakopane and Giżycko, Poland's three most popular holiday resorts.

The community initiative follows the success of Provident Polska and AXA’s involvement in the longest summer film festival in Poland during 2019, and forms part of the company’s annual community investment programme.

Katarzyna Szerling, Marketing Director and Board Member at Provident Polska said: ”We’re delighted that we can participate once again in this fantastic project and make it possible for holidaymakers to plan some entertaining evenings. This year all cultural events take on an even more exceptional meaning after Covid-19.  We have had to spend months at home, all premiers were cancelled and cinemas closed so many of us are looking forward to getting back to enjoying some leisure time and cultural attractions. We’re hoping to fulfil this with the Sopot-Zakopane Summer Cinema Festival.”

Both Provident Polska and AXA are committed to ensure the safety of their audience during the screenings and have taken appropriate health and safety steps to make sure this is the case.

Provident Polska is Poland’s largest home credit operator serving around half a million customers.  The commercial partnership with AXA began in 2014 and has resulted in more than 1.5 million insurance policies being taken by Provident Polska customers together with a range of joint cultural and community-focused projects.
