Czech Provident, one of the largest non-bank finance providers in the Czech Republic and part of International Personal Finance (IPF), is pleased to announce that its approach to Corporate Social Responsibility has been highly commended at the prestigious TOP Responsible Company awards.
Recognised alongside companies such as KPMG, Microsoft and GlaxoSmithKline, the TOP Responsible Company rating is the only scheme of its type in the Czech Republic that seeks to evaluate, recognise and reward businesses for their long-term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies and projects.
Czech Provident was praised for its sustainable approach to business including its responsible transactions with customers, employees and suppliers as well as its on-going commitment to volunteering schemes and activities. An independent judging panel selected winners from more than 100 nominated strategies from over 70 companies
The awards are organised by Business for Society, a leading business organisation responsible for representing and promoting CSR principles in the Czech Republic. Czech Provident received the award on 19 October at a ceremony held at La Fabrika in Prague and attended by Finance Minister Andrej Babis, Deputy Prime Minister Petr Gazdík and Zdeněk Čech from the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic.
Gerard Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of International Personal Finance, said: "We are very pleased our Czech business has been recognised as one of the most responsible businesses in the Czech Republic. We have provided our agent-delivered home credit loans in the Czech Republic since 1997 and have always taken our corporate responsibilities seriously, in particular treating customers, employees and suppliers in a respectful and responsible manner.”
